I set up a crowd-funding account (first time for everything) for building our vardo. I wasn't sure what to say or how much to ask for since I haven't been able to get a quote back from the lumber yard for our supplies. But I rounded off a ball park estimate of what it might cost us plus the fee's for putting our animals up for babysitting while we're on the road.
But if anyone knows of any old barns that need repurposing or anyone who's got a lot of pressure treated lumber they are wanting to get rid of, please let us know.
You can donate to our vardo fund at this address Build the BAD Vardo or email us any info you might have to help us recycle & reuse anything useful.
So far the plans have been drawn up, but the lay out keeps changing. I will finalize it soon as I get more measurements.
So Step Three; Harass lumber yard for estimate & call other suppliers. Look into the cost of solar energy needed to run the few appliances we might need. And get our schedule for 2016 finalized so I don't have to wonder where we will be month to month. And find out why my computer doesn't recognize the word Vardo as a correct & proper word.
Don't let the gargoyles bite.
